Welltec® Release Device
Welltec’s Release Device (WRD) is a simple tool which adds tremendous versatility and risk reduction to the operation.
It provides one or more, predetermined locations in the toolstring where it can be parted should it become stuck.

The WRD can be released on command from surface or will release based upon preset timing if the power to the tool is lost.
Leaving behind a standard 1 3/8” fishing neck reduces risk and ensures efficient fishing operations in the event of unplanned sticking.
