The department

Welltec Oilfield Services -Tech Centre Stavanger is actively recruiting for a dedicated and structured Workshop Manager to take full responsibility for the operation, quality, and timely delivery from our workshop in our new state-of-the-art facilities in Stavanger -Norway.

 

The position 

As Workshop Manager, you will combine leadership with active, hands-on involvement in workshop operations. You will ensure efficient and safe processes, maintain and configure equipment, and personally support testing and troubleshooting when needed. Your technical expertise will be key to delivering high-quality results in line with client expectations in the oil and gas industry.

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Lead day-to-day workshop operations and ensure optimal resource utilization
  • Ensure deliveries are executed on time, meeting quality and safety standards
  • Maintain, service, test, and prepare equipment for operational readiness
  • Configure and functionally test components and systems before deployment
  • Plan and follow up on work orders, documentation, and reporting
  • Contribute to process improvements, HSE initiatives, and quality systems
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, technical teams, and logistics.

 

Qualifications required  

  • Strong technical background in mechanical, automation, or related fields
  • Hands-on experience in workshop operations and equipment maintenance
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry preferred
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and HSE regulations
  • Leadership and team coordination experience
  • Structured, solution-oriented, and proactive
  • Proficiency in English and Norwegian (written and spoken)
