The department 

Welltec is looking for a motivated Senior Accountant to become part of our dynamic HQ accounting team based in Allerød. Our HQ accounting team comprises 10 talented professionals from diverse backgrounds and nationalities, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

In addition to accounting, the finance department is structured into four other specialized teams: Financial Planning & Analysis, Group Reporting, Treasury, and Tax. Together, these teams work cohesively to support the organization’s financial health and strategic objectives.

The position 

The Senior Accountant will have the primary focus on the main operational Welltec company which has interfaces to the global Welltec Group.

You will be actively involved in a combination of daily operational tasks, be the responsible part of coordinating the month-close process and drive process improvements. You will also participate in training the team and handle all kind of ad hoc assignments. This blend of responsibilities will ensure a dynamic and enriching work experience. 

Here’s what you can look forward to:

• Ensure accuracy including reviewing and verifying data in accounting systems
• Supervisor and reviewer for the team
• Drive accounting process optimisation
• Month-close process coordination as well as preparations
• Audit coordination and quality assurance
• Any ad-hoc that falls within Accounting
• Assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial records
• Supporting team members whenever deemed relevant

The candidate

·    We’re looking for someone who has a strong sense of ownership, is service minded and a team player and have a positive attitude, are curious and eager to investigate and broaden the horizon, a good communicator and have good stakeholder management skills. Adhering to deadlines is self-evident.

We imagine that you:

• Have a strong track record within full scope Accounting +10 years
• Have a relevant mid-level education, e.g. HD, Merkonom or similar 
• Have a solid understanding of a Global enterprise including organization and transactions (IC)
• Are not hesitant to do hands-on work 
• Have DK VAT skills
• IT application skills, including MS Office and preferably Navision
• Speak and write both English and Danish
• Work in a structured way, have the necessary attention to details, and have the ability to keep many things going at once
• Have inherent high business ethics
• Have a forthcoming personality, enjoying the social aspects of the job as well as the professional
