Full job description

The maintenance technician will perform preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks on Welltec tools. The main responsibilities are testing, troubleshooting, and repairing Welltec tools to ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness during job mobilizations. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of Welltec US.

The position requires for candidate to live within the Alaska, Prudhoe Bay. The training is provided overseas at our corporate offices in Alaska, Prudhoe Bay, so the candidate must be fully vaccinated or willing to consider the vaccination when this arises.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Visually inspect and test tools
  • Detect malfunctions in equipment to diagnose problems and repair
  • Dismantle and repair equipment
  • Install and repair electrical equipment
  • Perform electronic troubleshooting
  • Perform electronic checkouts
  • Assist with inventory
  • Perform various tasks and other duties and activities as assigned by the supervisor, such as shipping and receiving equipment
  • Interface with operations management to ensure workshop priorities are met daily
  • Embrace and utilize all Welltec systems (IR’s, Redress System)
  • Draft Incident investigation reports, technical bulletins, etc.
  • Actively participate in improving and implementing new steps to ensure efficient workflow, high quality, and documentation
  • Shipping and receiving tools and equipment

  • Able to understand basic concepts of Voltage, Current and Resistance
  • Problem-solving analysis and troubleshooting
  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience of at least 3 years of electromechanical, electronics, mechanical, and avionics experience
  • Tool handy
  • Interpret blueprint diagrams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Forklift operator
