The department

The position is based in Luanda, Angola and is part of Welltec’s Global Operations function. As a Logistcs Manager you will be reporting to the Country Manager Southern Africa and lead a team of dispatchers and logistics coordinators.

The position

The successful candidate will ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective logistics processes while supporting continuous operational improvement.

As a Logistics Manager you will have the following responsibilities:

Manage and monitor logistics operations, including delivery timelines, transport costs, and service quality
Coordinate international shipments (air and sea) and work closely with shipping agents and logistics providers
Negotiate freight rates and manage cargo bookings and tracking
Identify operational inefficiencies and implement cost optimization solutions
Ensure compliance with international logistics standards and client requirements, particularly for offshore equipment mobilization
Monitor inventory accuracy and analyze logistics data to improve operational performance
Lead and manage a team of logistics staff

The candidate

The ideal candidate has the following profile:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field. Preferred but not mandatory.
Around 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations
Experience with international shipments (air & sea)
Proven experience in team management, including supervisory roles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Fluency in English
Angolan nationality is a must
