A Down Hole Piston, Providing Exceptionally High Force
When activated, the Well Stroker anchors itself to the tubing by using a fail-safe hydraulic system. It then applies an axially-focused force of up to 33,000 lbs through the attached shifting tool - like a Well Key. The direction of the movement is controlled from the surface each time it is activated.
When used in conjunction with the Well Key, the Well Stroker applies enough force to shift sliding sleeve valves. The Well Key engages the required profile, while the Well Stroker applies the energy to actuate the valve.
Fail-Safe Features
Well Stroker technology leverages the same fail-safe design as the Well Tractor. Our passive and immediate fail-safe feature prevents the Well Stroker from getting stuck in the wellbore. As needed its anchors collapse to provide a flush outside diameter surface.
