Africa saw its first opening of an isolation valve on wireline in December 2003. To open the valve, a Well Tractor, Well Stroker and a specially adapted Well Key were used.
The operation took only a few hours. As a result, the operator was able to produce at full rate from a partially closed isolation valve on a sub sea installation.
