Welltec provides services primarily by operating proprietary remote-controlled precision robotic equipment designed and manufactured in-house. Our innovative technologies couple unique, patented designs with manufacturing know-how in, among other areas: electric, hydraulic and electronic systems. Our revolutionary services and technology are broadly accepted by the industry and have changed the way operators manage their wells and reservoirs.
The industry has recognized Welltec’s innovative technologies with several awards. We have won the prestigious Woelfel Best Mechanical Engineering Innovation Award and the Special Meritorious Award for Engineering Innovation several times. Wireline Well Tractor® services and solutions 
Our Well Tractor started a revolution. These self-propelled robotic devices deliver previously unavailable power and a wide variety of robotic capabilities into deviated, horizontal and vertical wells. Highly-skilled Welltec professionals exercise control from the surface over our efficient proprietary electric and hydraulic systems.
Coiled Tubing (CT) Well Tractor® services and solutions
Our fluid-driven CT Well Tractor is powerful enough to extend coiled tubing’s lateral reach including in torturous and extended reach wells where coiled tubing traditionally buckles and stops. Tandem configurations access extreme extended reach wellbores and traverse extended wash outs in open holes.
Well Stroker® services and solutions
The Well Stroker continued the Welltec revolution. It complements Well Tractor services with mechanical down hole services on wireline. Well Stroker technology brings 30,000 lbs of precision-controlled force where little, if any, had been available before. Our services include gas lift valve retrieval or deployment, setting and retrieval of mechanical plugs, manipulating sliding door devices, opening zonal isolation valves, etc. We use the Well Stroker to provide safe lightweight wireline interventions that replace slickline and coiled tubing operations. In some cases Well Stroker services replace the need for explosives and acids, which leads to improved safety and environmental benefits.
Well Key® services and solutions
Well Key technology enables us to open and close valves by pulling the valve’s shifting profile down hole. The ability to pinpoint a valve’s precise location tens of thousands of feet away from the surface and to open or close valves within a matter of minutes are particularly exciting benefits of the Well Key. We use this technology to shift many valves in one run, and we can customize the Well Key to fit any shifting profile.
Well Cleaner® services and solutions
Well Cleaner technology clears obstructions from the wellbore that may hinder other well interventions or even stop the oil from flowing. We remove obstructions including scale, sand and metal shavings. The Well Cleaner is a major wireline breakthrough that enables us to selectively vacuum, store and bring debris to the surface across a variety of well types, grain sizes and dry environments.
Well Miller® services and solutions
By conducting precision milling and drilling operations with the Well Miller, we deliver services that were not formerly possible on wireline. Welltec addresses a wide variety of down hole challenges including removing or drilling through valves, scale and other obstructions that hinder oil and gas flow. |
