Keeping it Safe

At Welltec, a healthy organization means taking care of individuals involved in our activities and providing the best conditions for all. Welltec believes in prevention instead of curing and therefore strives to create healthy physical and social work surroundings.

Our primary concern is protecting the safety of all personnel and equipment involved in Welltec’s global operations. Therefore we impose certain duties upon employees and subcontractors that require them to conform to any local statutory or legal safety regulation in the location where they operate.

Welltec’s definition of safety also includes the work environment. Therefore we take action to maintain a co-operative and supportive workplace.

Welltec's Health & Safety policy is realized by:

•	Providing, commissioning and maintaining equipment with systems of work that have a built-in method of mitigating risks to the health and welfare of individuals
•	Ensuring that the working environment of all employees is safe and without risks to health and that adequate provision is made regarding the facilities and arrangements for their welfare at work
•	Providing all employees with the information, instruction, training and supervision necessary to ensure their health is preserved
•	Making adequate information available with respect to any articles and substances used at work, detailing the conditions and precautions necessary to ensure that the products will be safe and without risk to health when properly used
•	Observing and respecting all rules and regulations that relate to Welltec in every country in which Welltec operates
•	Assessing the risks involved in any Welltec activity and taking the steps required to reduce the risks as much as is practically possible
•	Integrating safety into the development and execution of all Welltec processes
•	Training personnel to proactively take the responsibility for the safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work
•	Reporting and managing any near-misses and injuries to management
•	Adjusting and refining systems and routines through a structured cycle of constant improvement when new technology is implemented or the work place is reorganized

Welltec’s definition of health aligns with that of the World Health Organization -- a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

Welltec defines Safety as the state of being safe -- the condition of being protected against physical, occupational or other types of accidents, harm or any other event that could be considered dangerous.
